The weatherman said it, but when you have lived in Texas your whole life, you know better than to believe what you hear on the news.. Texas weather is as crazy as it gets and I guess that's why, every once in a while, even the weatherman gets it right!
Our little Mission House in the snow
It snowed today for about 2 blissful hours and I felt as giddy as a little school girl! As a matter of fact at one point I really did wonder if this meant no school tomorrow.. I guess some things never change! It doesn't really snow a lot in Houston, where I grew up, and it definitely never snowed in San Antonio, where I went to school, but when I made the move up to the DFW area I knew that there might be more chances for this..
Insert a big Ta-Da!
I also managed to sneak in some pictures with my boys and one of my main squeeze, although both of us had, moments earlier, just rolled out of bed and they really aren't the best photographs ever. As I'm writing this post the snow has already stopped and they are predicting only freezing rain for tomorrow morning. So.. basically not enough reason to cancel school, but still enough reason to have to worry about the morning commute. What a bummer!
The boys in the snow
At least it was (really!) fun while it lasted! Now it is time for me to start tidying up our little home and preparing for school tomorrow. Oh, and look, I have been preparing for our trip throughout Europe this summer: Ciao!
